Now there is no reason not to get a Digital DMR radio as TYT has broken the price barrier. New for 2021 is the MD-750. TYT has a produced a basic DMR radio for the average joe amateur, non professional user, who is not concerned with the ability to have a GPS in the radio. This radio is perfect for the basic Amateur Ham Radio operator who wants to use repeaters in both digital and analog formats and have both simplex QSOs, and work the world via repeaters on the DMR network. With the SMA-F antenna socket ("Japanese" style) a wide range of SMA-M antennas are just waiting to be used with this radio. The included "rubber duck" is great for around town, but 40cm 1/4 wave or mini mag mounts are available for when greater range or going mobile is more appropriate. And don't forget about the standard "K" plug accessory port. Numerous speaker mic, headsets, and earphones are available for a more robust operating position.

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
Ask a Question-
Tyt md-750. You show 144-148/430-450 others show this radio as 136-174/400-470 frequency range rx/ tx. Looking for radio for logging in the 163mhz range. Is this one locked to ham frequency only?
This is an Amateur version of the radio, for the Canadian market, and its guaranteed range is the ham band. Other listings may be for unlocked international versions of the radio. For a logging road radio the P11UV from PoFung would be a far better option:
