Questions & Answers
Ask a Question-
Does the SURECOM 7900D radio use the same programming cable with CHIRP as the BAOFENG UV-5R does? Does the radio program well and without issues using Windows 10, and CHIRP. Thanks
The Surecom 7900D does require a different cable than the UV-5R. I have tested the cable with W10 and on my system it loaded without error using a 2017 Driver. As all system are different I cannot gurantee it will function without issue on all systems. The Surecom is compatible with Chirp using the QYT drivers, the 7900 Surecom is the same as the QYT 8900.
