(The type where the antenna "screws" over top of the antenna socket, commonly found on Japanese branded ham radios and newer Wouxun & TYT radios) Great for use when you're on the fringe of the repeater. Helps to clean up scratch and get you in! Also improves your range and reception when working simplex. Flexible design to move with the operator.

    • Will this work on the KG-UV6D?

      The UV-6D is available with both SMA-F and SMA-M antenna sockets. If the antenna socket protrudes out of the body, and you can see a pin hole, than this is the correct antenna. If the antenna socket is more flush to the radio, and a close look you can see the connector pin, you will want the SMA-F antenna.
