Wouxun's First HT With
Airband RX!
Introducing the Wouxun KG-UV9D This dual band, amateur ham radio is an upgrade to the popular KG-UV6D with more powerful features and the new large colour LCD screen. Dual antennas are included. One for general scanning, and another performance tuned for the VHF/UHF bands.

The KG-UV9D operates at 5W (4W UHF). It features over 900 programmable memory channels compatible with both simplex and repeater pairs. Standard repeater tones are also available (CTCSS / PL) and you can set the frequency shift for + or - to either than standard 600Hz / 5kHz or set your own, perfect for working satellites with an odd offset.

The KG-UV9D has dual receivers so you can receive two signals at the same time on the same band, great for monitoring a calling frequency while in a QSO on your favourite repeater. For monitoring or scanning enthusiasts, the Wouxun KG-UV9D is Wouxun's first HT to include enhanced FM coverage (non-continusous 76Mhz - 985Mhz) including the extremely popular AM aircraft band!

The KG-UV9D is packed with all the features you would expect to find in a ham radio. Channel Name edit and display, Dual Standby, 76-108Mhz FM radio, DTMF encoding, low voltage voice prompt,

The KG-UV9D is powered by 7.4v 2000mAh high capacity Li-Ion battery pack for maximum uptime during operation. Power saver mode helps increase efficiency and preserve battery life, great for when working public service events. Ultra capacity batteries are also available for when additional run time is required.

The Wouxun KG-UV9D comes standard with a one year Wouxun Warranty, which is administered in Canada by Fleetwood Digital when you purchase from us. Other dealers will give you a 30 day return, and then after that your on your own. NOT AT FLEETWOOD! We look after you for the entire duration of the warranty period, ONE FULL YEAR.

Questions & Answers

Ask a Question
  • Can you put memory channels in groups for scanning just those channels?

The channels can be organized into 10 banks of 100 in numerical order, and then the radio can be set to scan through 2 of the banks at a time, one on the A band, one on the B band.

Wouxun manuals and software can be found here, perhaps loading the software and visualizing the bank arrangement will give a better understanding. http://wouxun.com/resource/list.aspx
