Planning an overlanding expedition, commercial transport run, or backcountry trip into Canada? To legally operate Land Mobile VHF radios on Canadian Resource Roads (RR) and LADD channels, non-Canadian residents must hold an active Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada (ISED) Radio License.
This comprehensive service includes complete application processing, federal filing, and a full 11-month ISED Land Mobile Radio License. Fleetwood Digital manages the filing logistics directly with the Government of Canada so you can travel with complete operational safety and regulatory peace of mind.
IMPORTANT NOTE: This service is only valid for direct customers of Fleetwood Digital and with the purchase of an ISED RSS-119 radio, for example the "Logging Road" radios.
ℹ️ What to Expect (Licensing Structure)
As a private individual and non-resident of Canada, you may not be directly eligible under federal regulations to hold an independent ISED Land Mobile Radio License registered solely in your personal name.
To ensure your complete legal operation, Fleetwood Digital will add you as an authorized user directly onto our existing corporate ISED license umbrella. This provides you with an official, fully recognized temporary license valid for an 11-month term. (Subject to ISED Approval)
At the conclusion of the 11-month term, drivers can have their eligibility re-evaluated should they require renewal or transition toward a more permanent licensing structure.
📋 Mandatory Authorization & Privacy Notice
By purchasing this service, you explicitly authorize Fleetwood Digital to complete and submit ISED Form ISED-ISDE3052 (Retention of an Agent) to act on your behalf throughout the official licensing process.
Your personal and corporate information will be submitted securely to the Government of Canada (ISED Department) for the sole purpose of applying for and issuing your radio license.
Regulatory Compliance: By purchasing this service, you agree to operate all radio equipment strictly in accordance with the Radiocommunication Act of Canada and associated regional frequency restrictions.
