This radio pushes up to 20 Watts of transmitting power. Because the legal power limit for GMRS in Canada is strictly capped at 2 Watts, this radio is specifically restricted for use by licensed GMRS operators in the United States only. Due to strict regional communication regulations, this radio may not be used outside of the USA.
