For the serious operator with a high-power radio, the RM Italy KL503HD is the amplifier you need. This is the "High Drive" (HD) model, designed specifically for modern 100-watt transceivers that have been turned down, or 50W+ mobile radios.
This 12V amplifier takes your high-power input and boosts it to ~150W (AM/FM) or ~300W (SSB). It also features a switchable 26dB receive pre-amplifier to help pull in weak, distant stations. If you have a high-power radio and need a reliable, feature-rich amplifier, the KL503HD is the answer.
⚠️ CRITICAL: For HIGH-DRIVE Radios ONLY
This is a HIGH DRIVE (HD) amplifier. It requires a powerful radio to operate correctly. It will NOT work with low-power QRP (1-10W) radios.
- Minimum Input Power: 1W (AM/FM), 2W (SSB)
- Maximum Input Power: 35W (AM/FM), 70W (SSB)
You MUST turn down the power on your 100W HF transceiver to match this range. Applying more than 70W will destroy the final transistors and void the warranty.

Please note, linear amplifiers require appropriate licensing to install and operate. These units are not designed for a 100% duty cycle. All units are fully tested and inspected before shipping; however, there are no returns and a limited (Manufacturer's) warranty applies.

This amplifier is designed for the 10-Meter (28-29.7 MHz) and 12-Meter (24.89-24.99 MHz) Amateur Radio bands. Operation on these frequencies requires a valid Amateur Radio Certificate issued by Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada (ISED).
Use of this amplifier on the 11-Meter (CB) band or any other frequency outside of the Amateur bands is not permitted in Canada. Operation on the 11-Meter band is license-free but is strictly limited to 4W (AM) or 12W (SSB) of power.

- ☐ Input Limits (35W FM / 70W SSB): I confirm I will turn my radio down to stay within these limits. I understand that a full 100W drive will destroy the input stage.
- ☐ Heat Management: I understand this unit is passively cooled (no fans). I will avoid long transmissions on high-duty modes (FM/AM/Data) to prevent overheating.
- ☐ Power Supply: I have a power supply capable of 30-40 Amps continuous to ensure clean signal output.
- ☐ Tuned Antenna: My antenna system is tuned for 10/12M with an SWR below 1.5:1.
- ☐ Warranty Terms: I accept there is NO Canadian warranty. Manufacturer defects must be returned to RM Italy (in Italy) at my expense.
