The QRP Z-Match Portable Manual Antenna Tuner is an ultra-compact, passive matching unit built into a rugged aluminum alloy chassis. Perfect for pairing with delicate QRP transceivers like the uSDX or ATS series, it utilizes an internal toroidal transformer and polyvaricon variable capacitors to match a massive range of unbalanced and balanced antennas without requiring any batteries or external power. It is fully supported by a 90-Day Canadian Warranty.
⚠️ Critical Hardware & Power Warnings
Strict 10W Maximum: The internal polyvaricon capacitors are strictly rated for 5W nominal continuous and 10W maximum intermittent power. Transmitting high power (e.g., from a 100W radio) will cause internal arcing and permanently destroy the capacitors and resistor bank.
TUNE vs. WORK Mode: The front-panel TUNE switch routes your transmitter's power into an internal dummy-load resistor bank for safe tuning. You must switch to WORK before beginning your actual QSO. Transmitting for extended periods in TUNE mode will severely overheat the internal resistors and kill your radiated signal.
