Is there a fix for it not sending DTMF tones? I was hoping to use my RT73 with EchoLink and AllstarLink nodes as well as DMR repeaters but it doesn't transmit DTMF signals.
The Retevis RT73 is capable of sending DTMF tones.
Sending tones is a bit different on this radio, but is achievable. I tested this on one in stock, and the tones are heard on the receiving radio.
Long Press the number "1" key on the microphone to enter DTMF TX mode. The radio will begin transmitting.
Once in DTMF Mode just press any of the number keys to immediately send that DTMF tone. You do not need to press or hold the PTT button to do this.
Press the "*" key to send the aserisk DTMF tone
Press the P1(DTMF A); P2(DTMF B); P3(DTMF C); P4(DTMF D) to send DTMF characters A through D.
Keying up the radio (press and release PTT) will exit the DTMF mode and the radio will stop transmitting.
