For the serious operator who demands maximum performance, the Solarcon MAXOPTIMZER (also known as the I-MAX 2000) is a legend in high-power DX. This is a true 5/8 wave, omni-directional base station antenna that stands 24 feet tall, giving you a commanding presence and an extremely low angle of radiation for superior long-distance contacts.
Built from three 8-foot, heavy-duty fiberglass sections, the MAXOPTIMZER is designed to handle an incredible 5000 watts of power. It features a broad bandwidth (26-33.5 MHz) and a "no ground plane" design, but works exceptionally well with the optional MAX GPK ground plane kit. This is the ultimate antenna for high-power CB, 10-Metre, and 12-Metre operators.
