How to Choose Your Variation
This page has five options. Choose the one that's right for you:
- Antenna Whip Only (NMO): This is just the antenna whip. Select this if you *already* have an NMO-style mount and cable.
- Complete Mounting Kits: Choose one of the four kits below for a full "plug-and-play" solution. Each kit includes the Tram 1181 NMO antenna whip, a complete NMO mount, and a coax cable that terminates in a PL259 plug (to connect to your radio).
Choose Your Complete Mounting Kit
Magnet Mount Kit (No-Drill)
The easiest "plug-and-play" option. This high-quality NMO Antenna Magnet Mount lets you securely mount your antenna anywhere you have a metal surface. With a strong 3.5" magnet base and an included 17' RG58 Coax cable, this mount really packs a punch. The PL259 connector provides an additional layer of dependability, and the scratch-resistant protective base ensures your vehicle's paint is protected.
Mirror Mount Kit (No-Drill)
One of the most versatile "no-drill" antenna mounts available. Designed for attaching your NMO antenna onto the side mirror rail of a semi-truck or tractor-trailer, you can also use it for installs on roof racks, luggage rails, and bull bars. For even greater flexibility, you can remove one side of the grove and use the bracket in an "L" configuration to screw or bolt it to a fender or other metal surface.
3/4" Hole Mount Kit (Permanent Install)
The professional, permanent solution. This is a high-frequency, fully shielded NMO mobile antenna mount that installs into a 3/4" hole. It includes 17 feet of durable RG58 A/U low-loss coax, which is 95% tinned copper braid and weatherized for optimal protection. The solid brass NMO ring and gold-plated contact pin provide a 50 Ohm impedance for fast, clear connections. This kit gives your antenna the best possible ground plane and connection.
Trunk Lip Mount Kit (No-Drill)
A clean, semi-permanent "no-drill" install. This high-quality mount is made of stainless steel and clamps securely onto the edge of your vehicle's trunk, hatchback, or hood. It's sturdy and suitable for harsh outdoor conditions. It includes a 4-metre (13ft) RG58 coax cable with a PL259 connector, making it an ideal choice for a clean-looking installation without any permanent holes.
