Unlike standard dual-band radios, this custom version is a true Tri-Band Transceiver. It unlocks the often-overlooked 1.25-meter (220-225 MHz) band. The 220 band is a fantastic resource for amateur operators looking for quiet, interference-free local ragchews away from the crowded 2-meter repeaters.
