This repeater pushes up to 25 Watts of output power on the FCC-assigned GMRS repeater frequencies. Because the legal power limit for GMRS in Canada is strictly capped at 2 Watts, this unit is exclusively meant for licensed GMRS operators in the United States only. Due to strict regional communication regulations, this radio may not be used outside of the USA.
