Collection: Handheld Amateur Ham Radios and Walkie Talkies For Business And Family Use

Find the Right Radio for You

Amateur radio is a huge hobby, and choosing a radio can be tough. We've grouped our radios into the four main categories to help you find exactly what you need.

1. Handheld Radios (HTs)

This is the perfect starting point for new hams. Handhelds are portable, all-in-one "walkie-talkies" used for communicating with local repeaters and other hams on the 2-Metre (VHF) and 70-Centimetre (UHF) bands. They are ideal for on-the-go use, emergency kits, or as your very first radio.

2. Mobile Radios (VHF/UHF)

For a permanent setup in your car or truck, you need a mobile radio. These run off your vehicle's 12V battery and offer much higher power (from 20W to 50W) than a handheld. When connected to an external vehicle antenna, they give you incredible range and crystal-clear audio while you're on the move.

3. HF Radios (10-Metre & All-Band)

Ready to talk to the world? HF (High Frequency) radios are what hams use to make long-distance (DX) contacts across provinces, continents, and oceans. We offer classic 10-Metre "CB-style" radios like the President Washington, as well as all-band, all-mode "Shack-in-a-Box" radios like the Retevis HS5 that feature modern SDR waterfall displays.

4. DMR Digital Radios

DMR (Digital Mobile Radio) is the next evolution of FM. These radios take your voice, turn it into data, and send it out for perfectly clear, static-free audio. DMR radios like the Ailunce HD1 connect to the internet via "talkgroups," allowing you to chat with people all over the world with just a small handheld radio.
